Rolling Loud New York 2021

Last week French Montana found himself defending his music career when trolls suggested he hasn’t had a hit of his own since the inception of his career. Looking to add another hit to his singles catalogue, French comes through with his latest joint “I Don’t Really Care” and for it’s visuals the Bronx rapper reacreates many memorable Hip-Hop moments including Biggie’s video to “Hypnotize” and Eminem getting ready to battle rap in his 8 Mile film. Overall it was pretty damn entertaining.

Back on the Left Coast, YG shows that whenever he rides he moves deep and in his clip to “Sign Language” he calls on his comrades to pull out the motorcycles and low riders to back him as he rolls through the streets of California.

Check out the rest of today’s drops and some joints you might’ve missed over the weekend including work from Jay Critch, Fatboy SSE, and more.

FRENCH MONTANA – “I DON’T REALLY CARE”

YG – “SIGN LANGUAGE”

JAY CRITCH – “JACK IT”

MY FAVORITE COLOR – “MAYDAY”

FATBOY SSE – “2005 FREESTYLE”

DREAMDOLL – “TRYOUTS”

Bia Feels Nicki Minaj Deserves The Same Respect JAY-Z & Other Rap Greats Get Garner

Bia Says Nicki Minaj Belongs In The Discussion With JAY-Z & Other Greats

Bia feels Nicki Minaj deserves her flowers immediately.

Speaking with Billboard, Bia proudly declared her Nicki Minaj deserves to be among the “greats” when it comes to the Hip-Hop game. Touching on her rise in the genre, Bia spoke about her idol, and recent collaborator on the remix to her hit single “Whole Lotta Money.”

” I always say to people, when you speak of Nicki, you got to speak on her like how you speak on JAY-Z and the greats that laid out the foundation for the people that’s after them,” BIA told Billboard. “She broke amazing records, and she’s made it easier for people like me to come through and do what we do. I’m always going to give her that credit and that respect because she helped me hit another milestone in my career.”

Bia also touched on the support she received from pop princess and lingerie empress Rihanna. The Fenty boss showed love to the Boston artist by co-signing her Russ-assisted track “Best on Earth” on Instagram. Rihanna liked the song so much she enlisted Bia to perform it during her 2021 Savage X Fenty Show.

“This is like one of my favorite moments of my whole career and my whole life,” BIA gushed. “It’s absolutely a full-circle moment. I love Russ. He’s such a great friend of mine, and I love Rihanna so much. She’s so top-tier of absolute taste level. For her to embrace my music and to also shine light on me as an artist, it’s just the biggest dream. I just love her, I’m so grateful.”

Shifting the focus back to Minaj, she is definitely correct regarding the Queen’s rapper’s impact on Hip-Hop. But, lately, her recent behavior and the antics of her husband Kenneth Petty have dimmed Minaj’s once highly bright light. Make no mistake. When Minaj is on top of her game lyrically, she can hold her own with the best of them, like the God MC. Need proof? Go listen to Kanye West’s “Monster” off his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

Drug Supplier Pleads Guilty To Supplying Mac Miller’s Dealer With Fentanyl-Laced Pills

Drug Supplier Linked To Mac Miller's Death Pleads Guilty

The man that prosecutors have claimed was responsible for the death of hip-Hop superstar Mac Miller has finally acknowledged his involvement.

In court docs obtained by TMZ, Stephen Walter entered a guilty plea on “one count of distribution of fentanyl.” Walter avoided the other drug-related charge, conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, by taking the plea deal. The docs state Walter was the person who supplied Miller’s alleged dealer, Cameron James Pettit, with the fentanyl-laced pills, indirectly linking him to the rapper’s tragic death in September 2018.

Lil Nas X’s Dad Puts On Cape To Defend His Son Following Boosie Badazz’s Latest Homophobic Rant

Lil Nas X Homecoming Event

Boosie Badazz’s homophobic obsession with Lil Nas X has gotten a response from the Montero’s rapper’s father.

Following Boosie’s latest homophobic rant that was so bad, Twitter deleted the tweets, Lil Nas X’s dad, Robert Stafford, took to Instagram to slam him for his problematic comments directed towards his son. Stafford called the Lousiana rapper ignorant and hypocritical in an IG Story post that The Shaderoom, of course, captured.

“How the hell you’re a gangsta rapper promoting drugs, gun violence, degrading women and getting high every video talking about you’re for the kids man sit your old man looking ass down,” Stafford stated on his Instagram Story. “The game has past you. We real Bankhead over here. Not like the guy who claims it.”

Boosie couldn’t resist and responded to Stafford in a tweet, of course, keeping the big homophobic energy going.

“DONT GET MAD AT ME CAUSE YOUR SON CAME OUT LIKE THAT LOL,” Boosie wrote. “I KNOW IT HURTS.”

All of this happened after Lil Nas X expertly trolled the rapper by joking he and Boosie were working on a song together, which invoked rage in the ‘Wipe Me Down” crafter.

This is not the first time Stafford justifiably put on his Super Dad cape to defend his son from a problematic Hip-Hop star. After the DaBaby’s problematic Rolling Loud Miami set, Stafford took to social media to tell DaBaby to “sit down,” as well.

If you have a problem with Lil Nas X, getting trolled by the “Industry Baby” creator isn’t the only thing you have to worry about. Papa Stafford is going to call you out as well.

Rest Powerfully In Peace To Shawn “Jeranimo” Oliver Of Rumpletilskinz

Steven "Jeranimo" Oliver

Source: Twitter / @JazzUNGang

Hip-Hop fans of a certain age are no doubt well aware of the iconic dance, the East Coast Stomp, popularized by Long Island collective, Leaders Of The New School. The inventor of the dance, Shawn “Jeranimo” Oliver of Rumpletilskinz fame has reportedly passed away.

Few details are known about Oliver’s passing, but Jazz from the group, The U.N., shared a tweet on Monday (October 25) mourning the loss of his Long Island brethren in Jeranimo.

“Rest In Perfection Shawn “Geronimo” Oliver,” read one tweet from Jazz, featuring an image of the late Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor, Q-Tip, Ali Shaheed Muhammad of A Tribe Called Quest, a woman who appears to be rapper Lin Que, and Dinco D of Leaders Of The New School. In the flick, Phife is pretending to punch Jeranimo, who dramatically appears as if he’s knocked out.

Jeranimo joined the Leaders crew as a dancer and was a part of the larger New School Society that included his Hip-Hop group, Rumpletilskinz, famous for its single “Attitudes,” a high-energy track that showcased the abstract rapping abilities of Sha-Now the Remedy Man, the Capital LS, and Jeranimo with R.P.M. on the boards. Prodigy used the hook in his classic track “Keep It Thoro” and while the Rumpletilskinz only released one album, they have appeared on both Leaders Of The New School albums on the tracks “Sound Of The Zeekers” and “Spontaneous (13 MCs Deep).”

Below is Jeranimo’s verse from “Spontaneous”:

Unstoppable when my mind is amped
I’m a genie and the genie’s coming from the lamp
Wizzy watch me get busy
40-ounce then hit the herb, vision is dizzy
Illy choco spillies into phillies
Causing mathematics static toolies in the attic
So brainwash the wish
‘Cause this is, huh, spontaneous

Rest Powerfully in Peace to Shawn “Jeranimo” Oliver.
