Angela Simmons Speaks Out On Losing Virginity In The Public Eye

In the height of the controversy surrounding Atlanta rapper T.I. and his daughter Deyjah Harris. Angela Simmons spoke out to sources about her own related experiences surrounding losing her virginity in the public eye. “Well, I publicly spoke about it and a lot of people knew that I was a virgin and I waited until I was like 28, and I went from virgin to pregnant,” she said. “So it was a lot and it was in public. So a lot of people were like, ‘Were you lying or what happened?’ But it just happened really quick for me. So, I mean, for me, I can understand she didn’t speak about it publicly. It was a choice of mine to speak about it, to encourage whoever wants to do it to know that it’s not notcool, you know? You have all the time in the world to do that.” In 2016, The Growing Up HipHop star, had everyone talking when she told viewers that she was saving herself for marriage at the age of 28 but then shortly became pregnant. Many fans and viewers were disappointed and even believed that Angela lied about her virginity.

Earlier this month, denoted the one year anniversary of the death of her late ex-fiance, Sutton Tennyson. The two share a beautiful three-year-old son together.

Amongst all of the shame, Simmons shared with Dr.Oz that she felt she had done something wrong, after finding out that she was pregnant so soon after losing her virginity. She also mentioned that she was fearful of letting down her father. Surprisingly enough, the Run DMC OG was supportive when she broke the news to him. “He was like, ‘Okay. I’m this guy. My arms are open to you. I’m not going to be mad.’ I was just scared. And you know, in that moment I was just crying because I felt like I let him down. The last thing I want to do is let down my father or my family. So for me, it meant a lot that he was open arms and like, there for me.”
